Always save room for dessert. That's a rule.
Specialty sweets are the almond cakes sprinkled with powdered sugar “tartas de Santiago.” You will be urged to buy by the street vendors dying to give you a sample. Try one. Cheese and quince paste that is made of pears, together called “queso y membrillo.” Another delicious dessert option is cheesecake.

Also, liquor café is part of the dessert tradition for festive occacions.
