Band aids can be bad aids
When it comes to
Forgetting someone you once made
Love to and that someone who
Only wanted to be with you
But the band aids come so easy
They feel even better than fine
For a very short while
And then to yourself you prove
It wasn't worth the work
And how much worse the hurt
When you're left with a new burn
But still need to peel a fresh band aid
A band aid can be a bad aid
When it covers up a wound
Of the love you gave away
As you try to shrink the one
Who wanted to be with you and only you
The gash you should have stitched
