The green scaffolding by the lake

Stands still during confinement

Along with for sale signs and smart cars

The world has stopped but its people have not

Now there are loitering fines but

Walkers joggers the movement that comes with good weather

Continue around mystical weeping willows

Winged friends speak freely

Unburdened by quarantine measures

Soon heading to their twigged pillows

Curtains pulled away return to cover curious windows

Of the maison de maître homes

Around the ponds
