Looking out the window down
At the roundabout
On neighbourhood watch
People queue
How come they can't respect the distance rule
The line grows longer
They linger
Longhaired boy pees
At the lone tree
Then runs back to mother
Who's waiting for a go
At picked over groceries
Red dog empties itself on the grass
Someone carelessly sits on the bench to light a cigarette
Cars and we are parked
In coronavirus confinement
The good ones peer out from the safety
Of homes
Just remembering:
It's officially spring
